Strategy Coaching & Top Executive Coaching

Time for the questions
that have no place in the calendar.

Within MLI’s impact model: we work with the individuals whose attention the organization follows.

A day and a half on Lake Ammersee for the most important resource at your disposal: yourself. Taking stock, a target picture, next steps — documented.

Occasions

Situations in which executives
choose strategy coaching.

None of them is a problem. Each is a fork in the road at which one’s own experience is no longer enough on its own.

Before a new position

You are preparing for a role in top management. The first hundred days shape expectations that are hard to correct later.

Before a transformation

A strategic change is imminent, and you are the person whose behavior everyone will take their cue from.

Successful, but driven

On the outside, things are going well. On the inside, it feels as if someone else is steering. That is not a motivation problem; it is usually a priorities problem.

The balance is missing

Professional demands and private life stand in a relationship you would not have chosen.

A decision without a sounding board

A far-reaching decision is imminent, and there is no one with whom you can think it through with an open mind.

Positioning in the leadership team

Your impact on the executive board or management team does not match what you contribute professionally.

The format

A day and a half. Distance as a prerequisite,
not as a comfort.

In the surroundings of Lake Ammersee, with a view of the Alps. The place is part of the method: anyone who reflects on their own role in their own office thinks along the same tracks as always.

You use the time for an honest assessment of where you stand: what actually drives you, which levers of success work for you, and which strategic moves help you to be effective and content. The exact sequence is set in a personal preliminary conversation.

Two versions

For leaders —€6,900
Interviews with five long-standing companions, an interview with the person being coached, analysis of self-perception and external perception, a one-day coaching workshop on Lake Ammersee, two follow-ups.

For C-level —€10,000
Interviews with five long-standing companions, an interview with the person being coached, analysis of self-perception and external perception, a one-day coaching workshop on Lake Ammersee on levers of success, positioning and strategic narrative, documentation in a personal strategy logbook, two follow-ups.

Seven building blocks

  1. Perspective matching. You compare how your long-standing companions perceive you with your own view. This reveals strengths, and hurdles in your own leadership behavior that you cannot see yourself.
  2. Wheel of life. Analysis of your situation along four success factors each in professional and private life. Where things run smoothly, and where gaps open up.
  3. Motivation and potential analysis. Using the ikigai instrument, you pin down your essential levers of success and your central drive.
  4. Vision and target picture. You shape a picture of what success looks like for you personally and what you want to stand for in your leadership role.
  5. Strategic story. The vision becomes motives and arguments that convince others — your mission as a leader, in a form that can be told.
  6. Leadership system. Which personalities and competencies you need in your leadership team, and how to organize it so that information flows and decisions are traceable.
  7. Concrete next steps. Binding, with dates.

The result

A document that will still be worth something
a year from now.

Time and undisturbed space

To go into depth and separate the essential from the inessential. A day and a half without a calendar.

Clarity

How to use your potential and bring your personal needs into harmony with the work of leading.

Your personal leadership knowledge

Vision, levers of success, self-image and external image, measures and priorities — documented. This makes it possible later to measure what has moved.

On request, we accompany you quarterly with short pit stops. The assessment then becomes a trajectory.

What executives say.

Working with MLI inspires me and gives me the courage to try new things and to grow in my impact.

Like a highly competent, well-meaning friend who accompanies us on our transformation. That helps us set the right priorities.

Four characteristics

What sets this format apart from
a coaching session.

Distance and nature

Lake Ammersee with a view of the Alps. You come to rest and become open to thoughts that do not arise in the office.

Clarity and structure

The approach uses insights from behavioral science and methods from design thinking. No conversation into the blue.

Coaching and sparring

Benevolent support also means that hurdles are addressed openly, not sailed around.

Anchoring

Self-image and external image, vision and key insights are documented. This makes progress verifiable later on.

When this format is not the right fit

When the real question lies in the organization rather than with you — contradictory goals, missing decision-making authority or a level above that models the opposite. Then a day and a half of self-reflection is an expensive way of taking the blame for it. We say so in the preliminary conversation.

Questions and answers

FAQ: Executive coaching

What is executive coaching?

An individual development practice in which experienced coaches support people in influential leadership positions in becoming more effective, preparing decisions and bringing professional demands and private aspirations into a balance that holds.

How do I find a qualified executive coach?

Look for proven leadership experience of their own, verifiable references and training in behavioral science. Just as important: that the collaboration works on a human level. A short preliminary conversation clarifies that faster than any profile.

What are the benefits of executive coaching?

You look at your leadership role, and at the system in which you act, from the outside. An experienced coach helps you examine your thinking and behavior. This strengthens decision-making and relationships, and measurably increases satisfaction with your own work.

What does executive coaching cost?

The first meeting is free of charge. A single hour of top executive coaching costs€450 per hour, a contingent of 7 hours€2,900.

Strategy coaching on Lake Ammersee is offered at a flat fee:€6,900for leaders,€10,000at C-level.All prices plus VAT. Daily rates are based on eight hours. No travel expenses are charged within the Munich metropolitan region; outside it, at cost and against receipts.

Which topics can be addressed?

Leadership development, conflict work, dealing with strain, communication, career transitions and positioning. The focus is set in the preliminary conversation, not chosen from a catalog.

Where does the strategy coaching take place?

In Dießen am Ammersee, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) southwest of Munich. Arriving the evening before is possible and usually sensible. On request, the format can also take place at another neutral location.

The next step

A preliminary conversation, not an
off-the-shelf proposal.

45 minutes to clarify your situation, no presentation and no sales routine. Afterwards you will know whether this format is the right one for you.
